Celebrate America's birthday with music, fun, and hands-on discovery at Redwood Symphony's Happy Rootin' Tootin' 250th Birthday America! family concert on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cañada College Main Theater. 

Designed for families, first-time concertgoers, and music lovers of all ages, this interactive event begins with a Tour of the Orchestra, where audience members can meet musicians from each instrumental section, learn how their instruments work, hear live demonstrations, and ask questions in an informal setting. The musical adventure continues with a lively program celebrating America's rich musical heritage featuring favorites by John Williams, Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Richard Hayman, and John Philip Sousa. 

The afternoon concludes with a memorable Grand Finale as every audience member receives a glow-stick baton, learns the basics of conducting from Music Director Eric Kujawsky, and 10 raffle winners are invited onstage to help conduct the orchestra in The Stars and Stripes Forever.
